The role -

We are now recruiting for a new Advanced Procurement Category Manager to join our high performing team in Switzerland! As part of this team, you will become responsible for emerging procurement categories that are directly linked to the development of new products and business opportunities in Life Science, Wellness and Healthcare sectors. Through partnership with senior business leaders, you will collaborate on early-stage product development concepts that have the potential to bring exciting and tangible results to PMI and its customers globally!

Your 'day to day' -
• Define and Implement Sourcing Strategy for Categories in scope (major focus on scale-up, de-risking, supplier selection, contract negotiations, pricing, contract frameworks, etc) to meet overall Business and functional objectives, collaborating closely with a wide range of internal and external partners (Product Development, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, etc)
• Build and ensure alignment and governance of new business categories with business collaborators.
• Create and lead supplier segmentation and relationship management (SRM) within emergent categories.
• Mentor and develop employees that will support the manager in the sourcing execution.
• In collaboration with the Procurement Business Partner define demand allocation model within Procurement and coordinate execution where relevant while establishing Category maturity and transition model to further integrate categories into existing Procurement categories.
• Collaborate with Product function and suppliers to drive innovation and product development leading to supply base evolution, supply security and sustainable sourcing with "right cost at launch".

Who we're looking for -
• Global Procurement Track Record in Pharma, Biotech, Lifesciences or CRO, alternatively in Consumer Health/OTC industries; including experience in Clinical Trials (Procurement or Business Perspective) and CDMO.
• Global Procurement Category Management experience - with evidence of establishing and implementing categories and their strategies.
• Proven experience working with exposure to new product introduction / new technology introduction (NPI) in organisations where new product launch is a key business factor.
• Strong leadership capability with stakeholder communication and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Creativity and open mindset to try and test innovative solutions.
• Capacity to operate within ambiguity, complexity, and uncertainty.
• Ability to take care of work under pressure, calm and resilient with a self-driving attitude.
