Description du poste

  • Stay abreast of regulatory updates from various authorities (e.g., US OFAC, UN Security Council, Swiss SECO, UK OFSI, Council of the EU etc.) in relation to commodities trading and shipping industry.
  • Offer compliance guidance to the commercial team regarding cross-border transactions, with a focus on regulatory compliance, and assist in conducting transaction monitoring checks.
  • Support the legal and contract team by reviewing non-standard clauses related to regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with external law firms to obtain expert advice on compliance matters.
  • Review and update internal policies and guidance documents related to regulatory compliance across different jurisdictions.
  • Identify and address areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, and assist in implementing corrective action plans.
  • Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training programs.

Description du profil

  • Master degree in law.
  • 3-7 years of relevant experience in compliance or legal roles in an international environment.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in the USA, UK, EU, and Switzerland.
  • Familiarity with sanctions screening tools and official databases.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and service-focused.
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
