For one of our clients, a major player based in the Bern/Fribourg region, we are looking for a Senior Stamping Engineer FR/GER(M/F):

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead the industrialization of stamped metal components, from concept validation to series production
• Define and optimize stamping processes (blanking, punching, bending, forming, deep drawing, progressive dies)
• Validate process feasibility, cycle time, tolerances and material flow
• Support prototype and pre‑series phases and ensure smooth ramp‑up to serial production
• Tooling & Equipment
• Define tooling concepts and technical specifications for stamping dies
• Coordinate tool design, manufacturing, testing and acceptance (internal or external toolmakers)
• Optimize tool life, performance and maintainability
• Support the specification and acquisition of stamping presses and auxiliary equipment
• Production Support & Continuous Improvement
• Provide expert support to production teams to resolve process, quality and performance issues
• Analyze root causes using structured methods (8D, Ishikawa, FMEA)
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, downtime and costs
• Improve process robustness, ergonomics and energy efficiency
• Cross‑Functional & Supplier Interface
• Act as a technical interface between R&D, Quality, Production, Purchasing and Suppliers
• Collaborate closely with external partners and toolmakers
• Contribute to supplier qualification and technical audits

Your Profile:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in metal stamping within an industrial manufacturing environment
• Strong expertise in stamping technologies, materials and tooling (steel, copper alloys, aluminum, etc.)
• Proven experience in industrialization and series production support
• Solid understanding of quality standards, risk analysis and documentation
• Comfortable working in a shop‑floor environment and leading technical problem‑solving activities
• Proficient with standard IT tools; ERP experience (e.g. SAP) is a plus
• Strong analytical mindset with a pragmatic, solution‑oriented approach
• German and French with a professional level (B2 minimum)
