Our esteemed client, a prominent financial institution located in Basel, is currently looking for a Business Analyst to help with implementing a reconciliation tool within the Back Office. Currently, the Back Office Team is in the implementation phase of a new project, and your assistance will be crucial during this phase.

The role will involve collaborating with colleagues to define specific business requirements for various reconciliation tasks managed by the Back Office.

• Analyzing the business needs and requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement, and proposing solutions to address those needs
• Collaborating closely with the IT team responsible for implementing software or technology solutions. It involves communicating business requirements, discussing technical aspects, and ensuring that the implemented solutions align with business objectives
• Creating detailed documentation that outlines the step-by-step procedures for performing various tasks or processes within the organization. These documents serve as a reference for employees and help ensure consistency and efficiency in operations
• Conducting system integration testing involves merging and testing various software components as a unit to ensure their smooth operation. Your role includes planning, carrying out, and documenting these tests to confirm the proper functioning of the combined system
• User acceptance testing (UAT) is the last step of testing before launching a software system. It means checking if the system meets what users need and expect. As the Business Analyst, you'd set up UAT sessions, collect user feedback, and collaborate with the development team to fix any problems found during testing

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Familiarity with banking practices such as financial instruments, trading platforms, and market infrastructures
• Understanding of data management principles including data structures, data models, and data governance
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English
• Practical problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach
• Ability to work well in teams and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
