Description du poste
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Lausanne, contributing to the design and optimization of mechanical systems while working on a range of challenging projects within a dynamic team.
Responsabilities:
- CAD Modeling and Simulation: Utilize CAD software and simulation tools to create detailed 3D models, conduct analysis, and optimize designs for performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Prototyping and Testing: Oversee the prototyping and testing of mechanical designs, analyzing results and making necessary adjustments to enhance product performance.
- Product Design and Development: Support R&D and Product Development teams by leading and actively participating in the design and development of mechanical components and systems, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and safety standards both in lab scale but also pilot scale.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, offering expertise in mechanical engineering principles, materials selection, and manufacturing processes.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Cost Management: Work collaboratively with the procurement team to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials and components.
- Project Management: Collaborate in projects with process engineers and automation specialists to find optimised soltions to ensure process stability. Support project managers to ensure timely completion of design projects.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all mechanical designs meet or exceed quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Innovation: Develop and propose unique solutions to complex problems while working collaboratively with those both within and outside of Daphne Technology.
Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience in mechanical design, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware in the lab and field preferably in oil & gas industry.
- Proficiency in CAD and CAE software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (FEA).
- Proficiency in designing and building prototypes for lab and pilot-scale methane removal systems.
- Deep knowledge of industry standards and regulations ( ASME and ISO).
- Strong knowledge of material and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Written and oral communication skills in English.
