For our client, an international company operating in a fast-paced industrial and technology environment, we are looking for a Buyer / Procurement Specialist to join their Procurement team.

In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing activities and order management to ensure the timely availability of materials and components. Working closely with internal teams and suppliers, you will manage purchase orders, monitor supplier commitments and proactively address potential delivery or supply issues.


Responsabilités

Purchasing & Order Management

  • Create and process purchase orders based on approved purchase requisitions and business requirements.
  • Review purchasing requests and ensure all required information is available before placing orders.
  • Check existing stock and open orders before creating new purchase orders where applicable.
  • Follow up on purchase orders from order placement through delivery.
  • Ensure purchase orders contain accurate part numbers, quantities, prices, suppliers and requested delivery dates.
  • Update purchase orders and ERP information when quantities or delivery dates change.
  • Manage urgent requirements and prioritize critical materials to avoid supply shortages.
  • Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders regarding open, delayed or at-risk orders.

Supplier Management

  • Contact suppliers to confirm orders, prices, quantities and delivery dates.
  • Monitor supplier commitments and proactively follow up on late or at-risk deliveries.
  • Drive expedite and pull-in requests when materials are urgently required.
  • Escalate potential delays or supply issues and coordinate appropriate actions with internal stakeholders.
  • Request and evaluate supplier quotations.
  • Develop and maintain effective and professional relationships with suppliers.

ERP & Data Management

  • Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier information in the ERP system.
  • Update confirmed delivery dates and other relevant order information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain supplier lead times, supplier part numbers and purchasing data.
  • Help identify and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, goods receipts and supplier invoices.
  • Ensure purchasing data is accurate and up to date to support effective supply chain planning.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Finance and other internal teams.
  • Support the resolution of purchasing, delivery and supplier-related issues.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively when an order is delayed, blocked or requires action.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Procurement and Supply Chain organization.

Profil

  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or a similar role.
  • Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, technology or engineering environment is a strong advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business or a related field.
  • Good understanding of purchasing processes, supplier management and order management.
  • Previous experience working with an ERP system.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and standard Office tools.
  • Familiarity with MRP, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, lead times and delivery schedules.
  • Experience with international suppliers is a plus.
  • Knowledge of technical parts, BOMs or engineering components is an advantage.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups, are an advantage.

Languages

  • Fluent English - written and spoken - is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of French or other languages is considered an asset.

You are organized, proactive, detail-oriented and solution-driven, with a strong sense of ownership.

You are comfortable managing multiple orders, priorities and deadlines simultaneously. You have excellent follow-up skills and are able to build professional relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

You are proactive in identifying potential supply risks and confident in taking action to resolve purchasing and delivery issues in a fast-paced international environment.
