Description du poste
We are looking for one of our client, a real estate investment company based in Geneva, a Controlling Manager H/F.
Responsibilities :
Accounting & Financial Oversight
- Oversee the accounting and financial closings for over 20 distinct legal entities, ensuring adherence to Swiss accounting standards and tax requirements.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and consistency in financial records across all group entities.
- Guide and supervise an in-house accountant responsible for managing the company's bookkeeping, payroll, and daily accounting tasks.
- Manage reconciliation processes and ensure timely preparation of annual financial statements for both the main company and its subsidiaries.
- Ensure compliance with tax obligations, including corporate tax filings, VAT, and other professional taxes.
- Work closely with external auditors to facilitate a seamless annual audit process.
Financial Control & Performance Analysis
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial reporting and analysis systems to track performance by investment project, business segment, and geographic region.
- Produce accurate budgets, financial projections, and strategic analyses in a timely manner.
- Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to drive operational efficiency.
- Support liquidity planning and cash flow optimization across the group and its entities.
- Ensure timely and compliant distributions to investors in accordance with mezzanine financing commitments.
Governance & Strategic Contribution
- Prepare financial reports for board meetings, shareholder updates, and annual general assemblies.
- Maintain and update the capitalization table with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Partner with senior leadership to evaluate investment structures, funding mechanisms, and performance drivers.
Skills & Experience :
Technical Expertise
- Certified accountant or finance professional (HES, HEG, Federal Diploma in Finance and Accounting, or equivalent).
- Proficient in using ERP systems for accounting and reporting, ideally Microsoft Business Central.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proven track record in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and audit coordination.
- In-depth knowledge of Swiss accounting standards (CO), VAT, and corporate tax compliance.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Quick learner with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Comfortable navigating a multi-entity business environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Languages
- Full fluency in both French and English.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Degree in finance or accounting from a business school, university of applied sciences (HES, HEG), or equivalent institution.
- At least 5 years of experience in a financial controller, business control, or senior accounting position.
- Experience in real estate, banking, or financial services is an advantage.
