For one of our international clients, a major company specialized in the global distribution of chemical products, headquartered in the Geneva area and operating worldwide across various technical and industrial sectors, we are looking for a Logistics & Vessel Planner (M/F).
We are seeking a Logistics & Vessel Planner (M/F) to support and optimize global maritime and logistical operations for our client. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating vessel activities, managing logistical tools, and ensuring smooth communication across internal and external stakeholders on a global scale.
This position requires strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Daily management of the logistical tool, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date operational data.
- Plan internal and global logistical movements in close collaboration with the Commercial team to ensure efficient execution and alignment with business priorities.
- Propose value‑added trade solutions wherever possible to enhance vessel utilization and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal production and consumption systems, taking into account maintenance schedules, inventory fluctuations, logistical constraints, and port restrictions.
- Engage in daily communication with vessel operators to jointly address operational matters, anticipate potential issues, and ensure smooth vessel movements.
Your Profile:
- Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, maritime operations, or a similar field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to follow through and execute tasks to completion.
- Comfortable with risk assessment and management.
- Very good command of IT tools; familiarity with planning or optimization systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of international maritime regulations is considered an advantage.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Team‑player, yet capable of working autonomously when required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively within a multicultural environment.
- Flexible, resilient, and dynamic, with the ability to adapt to changing operational conditions.
- Full professional fluency in English; any additional language is an asset.
