For an importantclient in the Bellinzona area, we are looking for an hands-on Security Operations Engineer to help safeguard the organization'sdigital assets and strengthen overall security posture.

This role bridgesstrategy and execution - ensuring security incidents are detected, analyzed,and resolved quickly and effectively.

You'll own andevolve our Incident Response and Vulnerability Management practices, workingclosely with IT, DevOps, and the external SOC. This is an excellent opportunityfor a mid-level cybersecurity professional who wants to make a measurableimpact today and grow into a future leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact forescalated incidents from our SOC provider
• Lead analysis, containment, andcoordination of response efforts across IT and business units
• Develop and maintain incident responseplaybooks, escalation protocols, and communication templates
• Conduct post-incident reviews to capturelessons learned and strengthen defenses
• Coordinate and manage red-teamingactivities and offensive testing (simulated attacks, penetration tests),including planning, scoping and running exercises with internal teams andthird-party providers
• Operate and/or coordinate the use ofoffensive/assessment tools (for example Pentera, PingCastle, Purple Knight, andsimilar) and translate test findings into prioritized, actionable remediationplans
• Build and maintain a centralizedvulnerability inventory across infrastructure, applications, and endpoints
• Collaborate with IT and development teamsto define risk-based remediation plans and track progress
• Execute and support patching, hardening,and remediation activities
• Collaborate closely with the Identity teamto ensure identity and access controls are secure, aligned with remediationplans, and tested as part of incident response and red-team exercises
• Deploy, configure, and fine-tune securitytools (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners) for maximum effectiveness
• Continuously monitor and improve theperformance of deployed controls
• Partner with DevOps to integrate securityinto CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
• Work with risk, compliance, and governanceteams to support audits and regulatory needs
• Ensure alignment with service owners whowill execute the remediation while providing guidance and verification ofcompletion
• Contribute to security awareness bysharing best practices and incident insights with colleagues

Profile

• Bachelor's degreein Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years ofexperience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or vulnerabilitymanagement
• Solid technicalknowledge of operating systems, networks, cloud platforms, and endpointsecurity
• Hands-onexperience with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management tools
• Familiarity withcommon attack vectors, malware behavior, and threat actor tactics (MITREATT&CK is a plus)
• Strong analyticaland problem-solving skills
