Description du poste
As an Academic Assistant, the key responsibilities are the following:
- Assisting the Academic Managers with activities related to the development of content and structure of all academic programmes in adherence to the current standards and trends in higher education
- Assisting the Academic department with the coordination of the student academic development cycle
- Assisting with the academic database management and with compiling statistics and academic policy documents
- Assisting with the management of the student information portal and ERP
- Be interested in the development of Training programmes
- Engaging relevant stakeholders to create awareness
Description du profil
You are the successful applicant if you match the following qualifications:
- A Master or Doctorate degree in international relations, political science, international law, international trade and economy, or any related field
- Interest in Academic Programme development, research would be preffered
- Excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of French or any other language is an asset
- Knowledge and experience in compiling statistics/data for reports and policy documents
- Ability to communicate with judgement and diplomacy
- Passion to grow and evolve
- Ability to be organized, punctual and ability to initiate and follow-up would be preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Experience with LMS systems - Moodle, Odoo etc would be an added advantage
- Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Office Suite and database experience)
- Ability to work independently and as a team member; cope with workload pressure and deadlines; and work in a results-based environment
- Attributes such as being responsible, committed and loyal to the cause of the institution are mandatory
- An individual with a can-do attitude, positivity, and a bright smile will be given preference
